About us

Inabel, or simply Abel, is a weaving tradition in the Northern Luzon regions of the Philippines. The terms are derived from the Ilocano words "abel," which means to weave, and "inabel,"  which refers to any kind of woven fabric. "Maison," on the other hand, is the French word for home. Together they form our label, Maison Inabel, which translates to Home of Woven Fabric. Our abrics are locally made by hand, using traditional looms, and our designs are indigenous to the province of Abra.
